Flight Radiotelephony Operator's Licence (FRTOL)

The Flight Radiotelephony Operator's Licence (FRTOL) authorises you to operate an Aircraft Radio Station in a UK registered aircraft.

The FRTOL is a national licence that can be issued as a stand-alone licence but is normally held in conjunction with another Flight Crew licence.

Our Courses

All of our FRTOL course are tailored to your individual requirements.  The amount and content of the training needed to achieve the required standard is very much dependent upon your previous experience.  Training can be undertaken on a one-to-one basis or as a small group based on personal preference.

See below for our reading list which can really help prepare you for the test.

Training and examinations can be undertaken at our Breighton Airfield base.
